In November 2025, the Human Rights Center at Seoul National University will host a three-part academic seminar series under the theme:

About the Speaker

Greta Gaard, Professor Emeritus of English and Women/Gender/Sexuality Studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, is a pioneer in ecofeminist thought. She is widely known for her influential anthology Ecofeminism: Women, Animals, Nature (1993) and her seminal article “Toward a Queer Ecofeminism” (1997), which helped shape the emerging field of Queer Ecology. Her monograph Critical Ecofeminism (2017) remains her most comprehensive work to date.
