SNU Human Rights Center hosted a seminar on the UN Convention against Torture (CAT), inviting two prominent experts: George Tugushi, a member of the UN Committee against Torture, introduced the committee’s work in monitoring each state’s implementation of CAT. Pil-Gyu Hwang, a lawyer of the Human Rights Law Foundation Gongam, talked about implications of the convention and its desirable directions of implementation in the Korean context.
