About our monthly Human Rights Forum
The Human Rights Forum, organized by SNU Human Rights Center, hosts presentations on current research works on human rights and its practical application, in order to promote human rights approach on major social problems. The forum welcomes diverse academic approaches based on legal study, social science, humanity, and natural science.

Access to medicine and intellectual property: international human rights legal critique and alternative framework
Description:
Ebola Virus was first discovered 40 years ago. Why are we developing vaccine and medicine for the virus only now? Is it something we can’t help with that some people cannot benefit from an effective medicine due to its high cost guaranteed by patent laws? The 1st Human Rights Forum address an alternative framework in relation to this, on the basis of international human rights laws.
